ALBERT KAHN FAMILY OF COMPANIES
There aren't many companies that have been around for over 100 years. Unfortunately, even some of the older ones are suffering due to a lack of innovation and acceptance of new economy rules. That's not the case for the Albert Kahn Family of Companies. This 114-year-old company is at the forefront of innovation. Take for example the new Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital. It's an entirely new approach to wellness and healthcare that can't be found anywhere else in the country...seriously. It's no surprise to us that Kahn was involved in a project of this nature. After all the firm's founder and world-renowned architect, Albert Kahn, was a pioneer of architecture and engineering during the industrial age. Right alongside Henry Ford himself, Kahn built innovative automotive factories and plants using his new construction style of reinforced concrete to replace wood. Interesting how aspects of history repeat itself.
EASTERN MICHIGAN KENWORTH
It started over 50 years ago as a family truck repair shop in Clinton Township, but Berger and Sons soon evolved into something much more under the direction and vision of Jesse Berger, the president of the Eastern Michigan Kenworth dealership group. With locations in Dearborn, Clinton Twp., Sterling Heights and now with the purchase of the Lansing (Central Michigan Kenworth / Central Michigan Ford) franchise, Berger certainly isn't standing still in an economy that doesn't exactly foster quick success or instant gratification. The Eastern Michigan Kenworth brand — one that is focused entirely on customer service and respect — is quickly spidering its way across Michigan. It's exciting to see where they land next!

Forty years ago when Gasser Bush Associates was founded there probably wasn't a whole lot of talk about energy efficiency, sustainability and lighting design. Today, things are a bit different. With over 80 manufacturers in its portfolio, Gasser Bush is one of the largest manufacturer representative firms in the midwest. It makes sense that their team is at the leading edge of lighting innovation and education. In the coming months a new Gasser Bush initiative will penetrate an entirely new market and utilize the firm's many years of expertise and experience in the lighting industry.
